Spa Hotel Wedding Fayre - 20th Feb 2011

I will be exhibiting at the Spa Hotel Wedding Fayre on Sunday 20th February. Booking a full days wedding photography at the Wedding Fayre will entitle you to a free framed picture from your wedding, so come along and see Louisa and I!

Lucy & David's wedding - Brandshatch Place, 29th December 2010

Lucy and David were married on a luckily snow-free Dec 29th at the stunning Brandshatch Place. They celebrated their marriage with an intimate drinks reception and wedding breakfast, which was an absolute pleasure to shoot.

I made use of the huge mirrors and tungsten spotlights in the venue to get some great creative portraits. Lucy and David were joined in the evening by 200 guests for their party - after the 2-song first dance, everyone's hair was well and truly let down, which led to some pretty impressive dance moves!

It was a real family affair, with some tender moments balanced with lots of laughter and a very stylish Bride and Groom!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all David Burke Photography clients past, present and future. I'm looking forward to 2011 with some awesome weddings coming up!!

For all blog readers or prospective clients, here's a little thought to emphasise the power of good photography (and why it's worth paying for!)...

Recently I was out enjoying a drink with loved ones and friends in a fine old hotel in Tunbridge Wells. I must admit I was feeling the Christmas spirit in more ways than one (only slightly!) and noticed a fantastic picture of Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise. The look of camerarderie and joy on their faces, along with the Christmas mood (and I suppose memories from childhood) really got to me. It was just one picture that evoked those memories, so it shows you how powerful good photography can be, both at the time and for many years to come when cakes, cars and flowers are just distant memories.

Once again, happy Christmas and looking forward to a fantastic New Year!
