Jennie & Andy's pre-wedding shoot

Last saturday I met up with Jennie and Andy in London for their pre-wedding shoot prior to their wedding early next year. As it was close to where they live, we explored the area around Shad Thames and Tower Bridge, which contains lots of examples of one of my favourite architectural features - railings!!! (not so many brick walls though, another favourite) Railings are one of my most used perspective devices - they draw your eye through the photo to the couple, providing a 3D quality to a 2D image. Here are some of my favourites from the day...

Remember, you don't actually have to be getting married to have a shoot like this - a portrait shoot with the two of you is a great way to get some lovely images of you both, and they make great presents when framed up! Contact me at info@davidburkephotography.co.uk for more information!

Sam & Dal's wedding - part 4

Here are a few favourites from the last part of Sam and Dal's day - their entrance to their wedding breakfast, speeches, the Bhangra dance troupe, the first dance, and the Bhangra dancing that everyone joined in on!!

The little girl below had to be persuaded that she could wear her witches outfit to the evening reception, but that it wasn't perhaps acceptable during the actual wedding!!

Sam and Dal's wedding - part 3 - Reception and Bride and Groom portraits

After the ceremony, Sam and Dal had a receiving line to greet the guests into their reception. Due to the great weather, we were able to get out on the lawn at the Spa and enjoy the autumn colours before we started the groups. I then took Sam to the lake for some bridal portraits, as Dal had gone to change out of traditional dress into his (immaculate) made-to-measure suit and shaved his beard. We joined Dal in the bridal suite so we could get some shots up on the balcony and then made our way back down to the lake to get some bride and groom shots before the wedding breakfast.

Here are some of my favourite shots - over the weekend I'll post the final installment - speeches, Bangra Dancers and the first dance!
