Alan and Jo's wedding

Congratulations to Alan and Jo on their wedding on 11th April, which I had the pleasure to photograph. The day started ominously with a few spots of rain but luckily this didn't come to much. Jo started her day at Hotel Du Vin (and I'm told everyone ended their day back at HDV at 3am....) which was probably a bit more frantic than she'd anticipated due to a slight over-run with the hair (which looked fantastic though). A great ceremony was held at the Register Office; lots of tender moments plus plenty of laughs - a child 'objecting' by crying during that part of the service and Alan struggling with the rings (which the best man had dropped outside - luckily still in their pouch!).

Onto The Beacon for the reception. Again we were luckily that the weather held, and the grass wasn't too damp (sorry about the shoes Jo, sure they will dry out - eventually) so we got some great pictures. The lack of formal shots really made for a more relaxing time for everyone concerned so I got some great candids.

Cafe De Paris shoot

A busy week for David Burke Photography; in the spirit of my new partnership with Mark Andreani, I helped out at a fashion shoot at Cafe De Paris, London for Ostomy lifestyle - a charity to help raise awareness of ostomy surgery. The day was long and hot, but Mark got some excellent shots (and I moved lots of lighting around :-) )

April

David has been busy preparing for an up-coming wedding fare at The Langley Hotel, Hidelnborough, on the 26th April so has been putting together some Magazine-style wedding albums, framed prints etc. This will be the start of my new partnership with Mark Andreani, a noted London-based fashion photographer. Mark coming onboard means David Burke Photography will be able to cover the whole of the South East with two photographers, plus Mark of course brings his fashion expertise to our patnership to enhance our offering further. Look out for our new, joint site - Cinnamon Wedding Photography, coming soon!

I have also recc'ed the Hotel Du Vin for Alan and Jo's upcoming wedding on 11th April. Come back soon for some sample pictures from the wedding - hopefully, the weather is going to take a turn for the better after this weeks predicted downpours!

March

David has been busy with portrait sessions, including an enjoyable one in Portsmouth with Sarah, Ella and Connor. The day got off to a bad start though as Jasper the whippet assumed that the pond weed on the pond was solid so tried to run over it. At least we know he can swim now....

We got some good shots of the kids, plus Hannah, Paula's daughter, who needs to look into modelling professionally!
